Generally people with excess hair shave, pluck, or wax them. Plucking is one of the cheapest methods for hair removal. It is safe and simple to use but is painful and takes a lot of time. This method can either be done manually or make use of modern technology such as mechanical plucking devices with rotating springs. Waxing is another technique used to get rid of unwanted hair. It can be done at home easily. It is a safe, economical, and easy method for removing hair. When waxing, a thin layer of warm wax is applied on the skin that is to be waxed. Then the wax is pulled off with the help of a paper or cloth strip. The wax pulls out the hair along with it. The results last for several weeks.

There are some side effects of waxing. It may lead to follicultis or inflammation of the hair follicle. It may also lead to skin damage or skin irritation. Other side effects include stinging sensation and soreness. The advantage of waxing is that it makes your skin look smooth instantly and provides you with long lasting results. It is most effective on larger areas like legs, abdomen and arms.

So apart from the permanent methods available, which are very costly, these temporary methods can also be employed to get rid of unwanted hair. They are easy and inexpensive as compared to the permanent methods of hair removal.
